Sumo #4 Dyed

You met #4 on the Number Duck page. The one top designers ask for by name. The fabric behind a 25-year-old bag that still hasn’t been washed. This is its dyed sibling. Sumo.

24 ounces per square yard. 60 inches wide. Reactive dyed for deep, even color that holds up to salt, sand, and heavy loads. Sun? We’ll be honest — it’s reactive dyed. Prolonged direct sunlight will fade it. Keep it shaded and it’ll keep its color. Abuse it any other way and it’ll be fine.  Arriving August 2026. You can get excited now.

Best for: Tote bags. Boat bags. Beach bags. Duffels. Aprons. Tool rolls. Anything that needs to carry weight, survive salt air, and look good doing it. Just maybe not a sun lounger.

Why Sumo?

  • Holds its shape. No sagging. No apologies.
  • Easy to cut, sew, and grommet. Your sewing machine won’t file a complaint.
  • Outlasts standard cotton duck. We compared. It wasn’t close.

Soft enough to handle. Tough enough to wrestle the day!
