This is the page for everything else.
Over the years, our fabrics have ended up in places we never expected. A beekeeper once ordered canvas for some product that goes into the hives. Sweet – we just shipped her the fabric. Someone in the filtration industry needed #12 duck, eight feet wide. Eight feet. We supplied it. We still don’t know what they were filtering. The Amish community orders 10 oz dyed fabric from us and send us the checks by snail mail. They’ve been doing it for years. We’re not about to question their judgment.
A customer once asked for a 20 oz specially woven canvas for tufting. We had to look up what tufting was. We made the fabric anyway. Another time, someone needed an anti-static fabric — cotton, polyester, and stainless steel fibers blended together. We just know it involved electricity and cotton fabric, which is usually a bad combination. The customer was pleased and that’s that.
This page exists because we stopped trying to predict where our fabric will end up. If you’re making something and you need fabric, call us. We’ve probably heard a more strange request than yours. We’ve definitely fulfilled one.
Pets — beds, scarves, belts. Carpet — backing, liners. Floor cloths for hand painting. Bookbinding. Swedish weaving and embroidery. Toys — liners, baskets. Laundry — baskets, bags, drawstring totes. Wagon covers. Shoes — canvas shoe boxes, polishing cloth, shoe uppers, liners. Theatrical applications — screens, backdrops. And a zillion other things we haven’t listed.
