Newton is our dyed line of 7 oz Single Fill Duck — same fabric, now in color. A lightweight duck with a soft hand, sanforized for minimal residual shrinkage. That means it's preshrunk — wash it and it stays true to size. Reactive dyed for color that holds up against water and washing.
Available in Black and White. Finished width: 60″, Roll size: 50 yds. +/-.
As the lightest fabric in the duck family, Newton has genuinely universal appeal. It shows up everywhere: tote bags, soft pouches, and promotional products by the truckload, plus upholstery, home furnishings, aprons, linings, and artist canvas. Unlike the raw greige version, Newton doesn't see much agricultural use — once it's dyed, it leans hard into promotional products and upholstery instead.
Think of it like buying a cheeseburger instead of growing the tomato, baking the bun, and forming the patty yourself. For small to mid-size orders, Newton is stocked, ready to ship, and priced at a point that's hard to beat if you tried to dye the raw 7 oz Single Fill Duck on your own. Once you're ordering in full dye-lot quantities, our Bulk Dyeing program on the raw greige becomes the better move — full custom color and finishing, done right, at volume.
Need a custom color but can't hit full dye-lot minimums? That's exactly what our Small Batch Dyeing program is built for — low MOQ, real color options, no need to commit to a full lot just to get off Black or White.
Newton is stocked in Black and White — our fastest-moving colors, always available. We do have access to other colors (Navy, Red, Green, Royal Blue, Khaki, and more) through partner stock lots, but we don't list them as standing inventory. Quality, finish, and availability on those vary lot to lot, and we'd rather tell you "ask us" than advertise something we might have to go source. If you need a color outside Black or White, call us — we'll tell you honestly what we can get and when.

Black and White are separately dyed/finished lots. Reactive dye fixing typically adds some fabric weight versus bleaching, which accounts for the weight difference between colors. Minor variation in other properties between dye lots is normal in wet processing; both colors meet Prestige's standard performance spec for this construction.
Note: Colors can vary from one dye lot to another. Bright and dark colors may bleed more and are not recommended to be mixed with white and/or lighter colors. There is no guarantee on the lightfastness, color transference, or printability of the fabric. This fabric has been produced (and is intended for use) for a light to medium industrial end use (for indoors) such as aprons, tote bags, upholstery, etc. The user or buyer is requested to exercise sound judgment before making the right choice of fabric and/or print method, including the ink chemistry.
